The Kokomo Howard County Development Corporation is a private, not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the economic and employment development of Kokomo and Howard County. Our staff works with economic development agencies, site selection firms, commercial real estate brokers, and developers to find the most advantageous and cost-effective location for corporate attractions and expansions.
We work closely with workforce development agencies including the Department of Labor, colleges and educational institutions, and private staffing agencies to provide employers with dependable, skilled workers. We can point prospective companies in the direction of training programs and facilities to meet their employment needs.
The Kokomo Howard County Development Corporation works in conjunction with government agencies, The Small Business Administration, municipal and local officials to offer corporate attractions and expansions the best incentives possible. We advise companies on how to obtain sales tax exemptions, low-interest loans, IDA financing, and discounted utility rates, to name just a few.
